From Undip University : Undip Takeout Medal of Guangzhou
The choir of students from the University of Diponegoro Semarang once again received an award in an international choir competition.
Even at the end of this year, the two teams Diponegoro University in Semarang choir scooped five awards in 2012 Xinghai Prize International Choir Competition, which took place in Guangzhou, China, 8 to 14 November 2012.
Both teams choir students (PSM) is Diponegoro University Choir and Choir School of Law Satya Dharma Gita Undip Semarang. Diponegoro University Choir won two gold and one platinum medal in 2012 Xinghai Prize International Choir Competition.
While PSM Satya Dharma Gita Undip won two medals, one gold medal and one silver medal in the Guangzhou International Open Competition which was also part of 2012 Xinghai Prize International Choir Competition.
Achievements earned platinum Diponegoro University Choir Undip for folkhore category, and a gold medal for the category of mixed choirs and categories of pop, jazz and gospel. The team was accompanied by conductor Setyo Watjono and Jeffery Franklin Bode and assistant professor Dr. Nani Prihastuti.
While Satya Dharma Gita PSM Law School Undip with conductor Alfonso Andika Wiratma and accompanied his professor Tity W Setiawati won the gold medal in the category of youth choirs of equal voices and a silver medal for the category of female.
The success of these students are welcomed Undip university leaders. Even when the team arrived home to Diponegoro University Choir country and returned to Semarang, Semarang Undip Rector Prof. Hadi Sudharto P MES PhD students jumped at the name Undip and Indonesia.
Sudharto particularly welcome students at the official residence in the campus rector Pleburan Diponegoro Diponegoro, Semarang, Thursday (15/11/2012) afternoon to evening.
According Sudharto students are not just sing in an international competition, but their presence also as a form of promotion Undip in the eyes of the world.
"I looked at them and not just the choir alone, but they are a team culture that introduces Undip and Indonesia to the international world," said Sudharto.
